Seriously considering a 1.8t
the noob guide will tell you but look for sludge in the oil thats the most important than see if the timing belt has been replaced if not i wouldnt buy the car with out a discount and a way to the dealer for a timing belt
test drive it listen to turbo make sure its still running strong. look at the condition of exterior and interior to see if any big noticeable problems. see if they have previous records of maintenance that has been done. good luck finding a car. just got mine and love it just need to learn to drive 5sp lol
It's time for a timing belt, if you do it yourself it's around $300 for parts or $1k installed. But the usual: cel, brakes, undercarrage, tires, tubo, emissions, ect, ect... GL maybe post up some pics?
if the timing belt HASNT been replace honestly i would stay away from it, cuz who knows how hard he/she has driven it, or if they did any of the other common maintenance on it... just my advice
2000 is the 150 hp. I would guess the tb has not been done and that is one reason for the sale. The owner doesn't want to spend 1k on a tb but hopefully you can get it discounted and maybe even do it yourself. I have bought cars that needed tb and clutches and just took down the price of what it would cost to go to shop to have it done. I would then do the work myself and save some $$. If everything is clean I'de say go for it if the price it right
any pics or add listing though??

u cant ask for a discount for required maintenance on a car, thats like buying a numbers matching 69 yenko and saying u didnt replace the brakes like u should have take 5 grand off... doesnt work that way
