Default Setting Up Torque Pro ODB on Android

Hey guys,

Looked thru and didn't see an official thread on Torque Pro on Android Torque — OBD2 Performance and Diagnostics for your Vehicle. I started using this a few weeks ago, and so far its been pretty decent on my '99 1.8T.

It shows just about everything that vag-com does and the bluetooth adapter from ebay I purchased links up every time. Clears codes.. etc.

Has anyone been fooling around with the settings?

I got my base weight set at 1400(kg's) and the Boost adjustment at 14.7 (that could be completely incorrect, I have no idea how to calculate that). In the settings menu it says "Usually -14.7, or 14.7 (atmospheric pressure adjustment at sea level).

I didn't think my model had a boost gauge built into the ecm but this little unit has its own gage in Hg. Seems to be decently accurate, but not sure how its getting calculated.)

Hopefully we can get this thing right dialed in for 1.8t.

I use it too but I have the 30v. Not everything seems to work, like both cat banks, etc. Basic stuff does, though. Great for resetting codes!

I wish I could set in the logging to just log everything so I know what works and what doesn't after a long drive. So far it really only shows me gps route of my path.

I know this is old but didn't want to start a new thread.

do you know which Bluetooth adapter you bought? I have the app and tried it with USB, and it worked once. I'd like to get an adapter that has been tested out on our cars instead of playing the taking the chance of getting one that won't work.

Thanks, I'll check this out. is that a switch on it to power it on and off so it doesn't consume power when the car is off?

That was an addition put on by a user. But yes, those users modified their adapters with a switch to prevent any battery drain while the engine is off. (though I can't imagine the drain being very much anyways)
