My dad always used to say "Given enough time and money, anything is possible."

Yes, you can put a shark fin antenna on a B5, but it would mostly be for looks. The radio antenna is integrated into the rear window glass. If you could find the spot where the antenna lead comes off the window glass to go up to the headunit, then tap into that with the lead from the sharkfin, i suppose it would work? But a better question would be, what could you do with the time and money you'd spend getting a sharkfin antenna to work, that you could have spent on cooler, more useful mods?

Most people would use the sharkfin antenna for their GPS signal/antenna.

Good point, I have a buddy with an A8 that uses a sharkfin-ish looking antenna for his satellite radio

OP, do you have an aftermarket stereo? My radio reception dropped dramatically after i put in a JVC head unit. I've heard guys talk about in-line FM signal boosters, but I have no personal experience, nor do i know how they work. You might look into something like that?

hmmm I dunno. I had good reception with the stock unit, but maybe you'll have better luck with an aftermarket HU? Like I said in my first post, its definitely possible. Think you're up to it?
