short shifter??

havent asked any questions in a while does anyone know how to tighten a short shifter properly i tried but its still really loose need some thoughts thanks!

ebay ss...there is alot of play side to side when in gear

Same with mine. I just gave up, its a POS thats why.

nah they need to have movement from side to side while in gear if you have quattro. i dont know how bad yours is but they should move a little bit.

now, anyone know how to adjust where the gears are by any chance? when in first mine can hit the bracket on the side if i push it. my 5th is where 3rd used to be, right in the middle.

ya same with mine just mine moves alot like when i come to a stop at a light and in neutral i can hit the side of the box with my shifter lol i just wanna know how to make it a little tighter...and is it normal to click while shifting??

Check out their shifters and linkage upgrades. The side to side is mainly from the stock rubber plastic ball you reuse and the rubber U-joint for your linkage under the car.
