I'm looking to get a giac chip, but I saw on awe tuning that I can get the K04 turbo upgrade with the giac chip for $1800.

Would I be happy with the stock K03 and a chip at about 200 horse 245 ft/lbs of torque ($500), or should I get the whole package? Also I have an extra K03 turbo so if I push the one I have in right now too far I got another one. I am not racing the car or anything I still need it to be a daily driver.

 

just get the chip. there are a bunch of ecu's on vortex already giac tuned for sale for ~$300 by the way

 

Giac is a great chip, btw. Doing a k04 will hold you down for a while, but you are gonna want more eventually...atleast thats what happened to me lol

 

If I get just the chip would be easy to just upgrade to a K04 or a gt28rs later, or would I have to get it reprogrammed?

you will need it to get reflashed...they can adjust the chip based on what you have done...
