Should i run 110?

so not sure if it will be good or bad for my car but i am definately wondering if 110octane would be better. any benefits? i could always run half 92 and half 110. any thoughts?

do you have anything done to your car ?

if not then whats the point ?

audikiller09 11-01-2008 01:08 PM

what if you have the GIAC,dv,tp,straight exhaust? is it safe to run?

audi_n00b 11-01-2008 01:27 PM

The only difference it will make is a lighter wallet.

higher octane wont do anything unless you have a tune for it.

^yeah, if you have a race file then it would totally be worth it, but thats it.

FASTER 11-01-2008 04:56 PM

correct me if im wrong here, but 110 is leaded and will eat your cat for lunch.

Mike-2ptzero 11-01-2008 06:15 PM

Not worth doing unless your car is tuned for more then 105 octane. Running 110 on a pump file will actually cause the engine to produce more power and even misfire.

well im mainly wondering about a mix of 92 and 110. i have been looking for ever around the area and cannot find 93 period. most places only have 91, but our super america has 92 (questionable quality though) o and yes it does contain lead so i guess its out of the question.

cincyTT 11-01-2008 07:54 PM

You really wont notice the difference between 91 and 93 unless you were alot more modified.

Also, you can get 110 w/o lead, but if it did have lead, your cat would dye very fast.

And no point in running it with a turbo that cant run any more psi and you arent going to increase the timing
