Bare CF FTMFL. +1 on the weight savings, sure - but damnit, paint that thing to match the rest of the car!

I just bought some black duplicolor, adhesion promoter and clear coat. Im doing the hood and roof black. Im almoast done with the hood, its lookin good. pics coming when im done

 

I agree I'm looking at doing a carbon fiber trunk and probably painting the roof now that I put the carbon fiber hood on. Kind of looks out of place without following through.

 

I'm with you there. I'd love to go C/F on the hood, but they can get expensive. I'd probably just get black vinyl for the hood, roof and trunk deck, but not the backside.

I hate this look:

Stands out too much IMO. I'd probably follow the lines of the natural bulge our hoods have with the vinyl. Then window tints, matte black RS4 reps, and whoops... I'm salivating!

Personally, I don't think the black hood thing looks good at all. Black stripes, IMO, are better. (Though I wouldn't put them on my car, either, personally.) Your choice though.
