smoke???

Default smoke???

so my car a taken a turn for the worse and the other day my car lost power and there was quite a bit of white smoke coming from my exhaust..i dont want to drive it right now for fear of ruining the car and dont want to waste the money to get it towed to have the codes read if its a obviously easy fix.... anyone have any ideas?

and i just want to add that i had gotten the codes read earlier that day, every cylinder had a recorded misfire and the RPM bar was being freaky, in that i would love to shoot up before getting decent acceloration/sway

You blew your turbo. "White smoke from exhaust/under hood" is code in our world for a blown turbo.

I will have to remember that code for when I get my next Audi and its turbo charged, white smoke from hood+exhaust=blown turbo

Sorry to hear about your turbo death. You'll be needing a cat and possibly O2 sensors as well. Upgrade to an elim from DTH and post your build and results so we can all live vicariously through your thread.

Thats an extremely debateable and situation dependant statement.
Good idea to replace the 02 sensors if they are original, regardless of anything else.
The cat should be able to survive the affects of a blown turbo. I'd wait and find out on that before you go buying a new one.
