for the a4. I bought my b5 1.8t with just a key to get into the doors and turn on the ignition, etc. no keyless fob remote. So i know the 97 came with the separate remote, but can i buy, cut and use a switchblade remote. I can't compare codes because i don't even have the original remote. now for part 2 of my rant, Can i use the 3 spoke tiptronic steering wheel in my 97, because didn't it only come in 98.5 and up? sorry but the search and internets have not provided me great information since i have seen yes and no answers for both. Thanks for the help

 

yes, you can certainly use the switchblade, thats what im using on my 97

I have 97 A4 as well. with FCC ID: MZ24108194. I would like to upgrade to a switchblade. I'm looking at on eBay but not sure which one will work..
