...Not sure if it's a bad turbo, boost leak, or exhaust leak. You deceide.

Ive heard something like that on some old F-250's sound's like a turbo problem dont wanna make any assumption's but i would do what Stormunite said up there and also stop driving the car until you find out what the problem is, because that can mean the difference between buying a new one or repairing IMHO

My 97 had the exact same sound while boosting. The turbo had 0 shaft play, and no boost leaks, though. I was never able to figure it out. Post back if you ever figure it out. I'd like to know what it is.

Agreed - I don't think it's the turbo since it doesn't sound like all of the "death whine" videos that I have researched on youtube. Also, I cannot hear it when the car is revving in neutral (i.e. no load scenario).

How long do these K03 turbo's tend to last under normal driving conditions? I'm still an extreme newb with this car.

Yeah thats what I think, I just dunno if it's hot side or cold side.

That seems easy to check, just have to get a pressure line and an adapter.

I will try to check all of these things when I am home next weekend. The car is down for the moment anyway since the cluster is getting refurbished. Good opportunity to do Air/Fuel filter change next weekend.

Wonder if any update on what you found - I just noticed mine has developed very similar to what is in your vid and described...

Also, you should post the pic of that chick your buddy snapped there
