god DAMNITTT

i just spent so friggen long trying to do the independent fog light mod. I have a soder gun, and feel ( felt ) comfortable doing it.

Somehow, i fucked it up. No idea how, the soder wasnt sticking well and somehow i managed to melt a bit of the plastic where the soder was suppose to connet i am very frustrated at this point and i think i just bought myself a new relay switch, because i cant keep trying to soder more crap on and the fogs wont turn on at all

idk - prob going to have to track down a new one.

My head lights work, but since i clipped the spades off the fogs are dead. I think ill take it out tomorrow and try to take off the solder material, then try again. But im not sure if the connection will be possible anymore, the plastic is melted around the inner part.

didnt mean to rant and rave too badly, just really pissed off. I guess I used in-expensive solder and crappy flux.

anyone have an extra headlight relay?

Are you sure you put it in the right way? Or is it screwed up internally?

Well. Yes and know. The plastic is sort of melted where the spades punch through on the back. I guess I can kinda can take an exacto knife and try and expose them. Unless it can be done on the reverse side with a wire?

yeah ive seen it done that way. someone recommended it to people new to soldering. there is a big enough gap between the relay and plug for the wire to fit. go ahead and try it. cant hurt now

take like 800 grit sand paper and rough up the surface a little bit. clean it with alcohol and solder. try solder on something else so you can practice soldering first.
