i want to read some of your views and opinons on the car im thinking of buying in like 10 days...its a 1998 a4 2.8l quattro 5 speed 156000 miles umm leather basicly everything besides navigation or any onscreen componits itsa 98 has adjustable peddals witch i think seems cool ive never owned an audi my last car was a very sporty level 3 ion....so if you guys can give me a heads up to make me evan more excited id love to here it and yes i like to modify my **** gonna get a performance chip and cold air intake same day i get the car....paying 3500 for it also getting cause all weel drive and audi dependablity i have a family i need to keep safe and i like fun rides and feeling every horse power

i own a 1998.5 a4 2.8 quattro with 175k on it, its a great car but not easy to mod.. if you would like to gain some power from modding then you are better off getting the 1.8t. you should also ready the stickies to get more information about this. btw i have never heard of the adjustable pedals, could you please explain?

 

adjustable petals....im thinking that they have a screw that will alow them to e ajusted twords or away from you....like giving you a cpl inches where you can have the petals closer or further away....dont think itsa stock part

 

I don't see many posts about people modding their 2.8L engines. The number of guys who mod their 1.8T engines, though, are legion. All kinds of expensive and interesting things to add to the 1.8T to boost the HP.

As someone who went from driving a Saturn SL2 to the A4, the thing that really struck me was how much heavier and solid the A4 felt compared to the Saturn.
