Default Squeaky seat

Hi everybody.

Sorry for a newbe question. I have had my A4 for 3 months and I have developed a squeak in the driver seat. There is some rocking of the backrest when you take off and some squeaking...
These are manual letherette seats.

Any ideas ?
Thanks.

I'd take the seat out, tighten any bolts that appear loose, and spray down the joints with WD-40 or White lithium. Should get rid of any squeaks you've got.

Don't use WD-40 for lubrication.

WD-40 is a penetrating oil, not a lubricating oil. It's good for cleaning grease. I use it to clean out headlight sockets and such when required. You can use it on rusted surfaces, though PB Blaster and Kroil (especially Kroil) are better for that.

I wouldn't use it to lube ball joints or somethin but seems to me it would work fine for a squeaky seat.
