Default steering rack.

for anyone who is going to do a steering rack replacement, koyo and zf ARE interchangeable. same tie rods and everything. also taking it out will suck.

Agreed on both points. The only thing I have noticed when going from the Koyo rack to the ZF rack is that my Koyo rack seemed stiffer and had a better feel to it. The new ZF rack is easier to turn. Not sure why.

Same experience here. I went from the ZF to the steel rack (Koyo?). It was a drop in replacement, and the steering feels great.
