So I found this DIY writeup for Porsche tiptronic controls and was wondering if anybody had any input on whether this might work for a 99 a4 with the 3-spoke steering wheel?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Would there be any interest for a write up for this? I did this mod to my 3-spoke tiptronic wheel and it works perfectly!

I have often wondered why I can't control the radio from the steering wheel. I never use the buttons to shift. I figure it's called an automatic transmission for a reason. I let it do the work. Channel seek and volume would be pretty cool on the wheel.

Exactly - Looking back at the walkthrough, there actually isn't a whole heck of a lot different with the A4, so if you know how to get your steering wheel off it should be a pretty easy conversion! Just have to find out what the resistance ratings are for different functions on your (Aftermarket) radio or just get a radio control unit (i.e. "idatalink maestro ads-msw").

When I get some free time I'll make a better writeup if you still need it!
