ive had a couple a4s an loved them.. both were 2.8 but i no longer have an audi and am in the process of finding a new one.. i only have around 5g to spend at this point in time. i have found some good 1.8t around my area but wanted to drive an a6 2.7t or an s4.. granted id have to save up some more to get an s4 but the a6 is more in my price range.
was wondering if i should go with the 1.8 or 2.7? any thoughts on how much of a diffrence is between them? handling? ect..

If money is tight, and going to be like that for awhile, stick with the 1.8T. From what I've heard, the 2.7s are expensive as hell to fix, and with two turbos, you have twice as much that can go wrong.
Plus, with the 1.8 you can upgrade in the future as money becomes available and be just as fast, if not faster than the 2.7. Get a 99.5, you won't be disappointed...

if I could afford an S4 5 years ago, I would have gone with an S4.
I vote S4, interior is nicer (seats and door cards)
and they also have a nicer exterior (front bumper and "side skirts").
I am not a fan of the A6 in anyway, so I won't put my opinion on what I think of it.
All cars cost money, the A4 will cost the same as the S4 in the end if you mod the A4 just to match what the S4 comes with stock.
but its your money and your choice, good luck with what you go with. and post pics with what ever you pick up.

No mean to dis our 4 rings but... i think the a6's are fugly...
That being said. If you can afford to buy, and maintain an s4 GO WITH THAT!
The s4's are badass and if you k04 tt it it'll be bad as ****.
If money isn't always there, go for a 1.8t and chip it to start, and go from there.

ya theres a 01 1.8 thats got some **** on it already... im going to check it out a little later today.. its got remus exhaust, rims tires some other minor stuff.. its got 177xxx.. ouch but it does come with a warranty!! he wants 5700
