Default Stock stereo question

I'm curious if the 99 Audi Bose concert is interchangable with the 96 Audi delta stereo. My delta has a messed up display and I have a friend with the concert and i was wondering if it's plug and play.

Yes it should work with Concert I (tape). If though the concert is programmed for Bose and your car is non-bose or vice-versa you might need to reprogram it with vag-com. Concert II (cd) will work but not the illumination, ignition signal, speed volume, etc. because it's a new CAN-BUS style radio and B5's don't use can-bus.

It's the tape, mine is Bose and I think the concert is as well.
