Default Stranded at the grocery store.

I put a new battery in 3 months ago and shortly after my car would just barely turn over and start, but it would always start. then yesterday it barely turned over and started, I drove two minutes and turned off car, and then got back in and nothing, no click no noise. All the power was on in the car though. So I went and bought a new battery, and still nothing, no noise, no start. Does this sound like an alternator issue or starter? Thanks

check the starter or the solonoid... plus the cables going to the starter solonoid make sure theres good continuity

Alternator has nothing to do with this. It only charges the battery when it is running. The new battery should have a good enough charge to start.

I would check all the cables going to the starter. Sometimes they can get corroded and won't allow a large amount of amps to be drawn. But sounds like a starter is going out and is out now.

Also, hit the thing starter with a piece of wood or something. More times than not, if the starter is on its last leg this is a small trick to get one more start with it.

Default starter

Thanks for the input. I'm going to grab a small hammer and see If I can get it started. Then go get it rebuilt and put it in. Is that very tough to refit?

if you have power then you're alternator and battery is good. it's probably the starter solenoid but you should just buy a whole starter with a new solenoid on it so you don't have to worry about anything in the future.
