Hey guys, well I'm unsure of this and I did a crap ton of searching so now i'm just asking up front. Whenever I start my A4 after its been off for a half hour or more, and it's quiet u can hear this sort of gurgling noise coming from I believe the fuel pumps in the rear, it sounds like someone whos drinking an almost empty pop at the movies. I p8ulled down the back seat when i started it once and it was way louder. like theres air in the fuel lines or something? the car starts just fine and runs great..but the noise doesn't sound liek it's going to be good in due time..any advice?

Sometimes I get that noise after I shut off my car and I've been driving for a while. I never thought it was a big deal.

My audi has been making that noise every day since I bought the car 10 months ago. But she runs good and the vagcom hasnt picked up any issues, so you should be fine as well.

well the fuel pump access door is behind your rear seats under the carpet in the trunk, its covered by a big black plastic door with i think 3 screws. unless your running on empty it wouldnt be sucking air, if it was the car wouldnt be running. maybe the return line is above the liquid level and you hear the gas splashing back in the tank. never heard of this before.

huh? now that I listened more closely I can even hear a splashing noise so, the return line back into the tank makes a hell of a lot of sense..thanks
