250 hp is easy... IIRC, a KO4 and GIAC tune will give you that...

300, you're looking more for the GTRS Elim... Mike Hood's got 'em at his site, complete kits.

Anything more than that, you're looking big bucks for new exhaust mani and BT...

But, to start, a simple APR tune and APR DV will give you the same power you're V6 had (maybe more, not sure how the 12v was), but with a lighter engine, and better handling!

 

well see thats where i get lost... i dont even know how to look up apr tunes and ****.. its not like i can jump in the phone book and look for apr tuning lol... are there only authorized reps to do the tune??

edit: nevermind i found there site... if all else fails ill just call them and have them find me a local authorized rep lol

im at their site now and i cant believe the jump just the ecu makes in power its goes from 150hp/162 tq to 200hp/ 245tq?? thats almost 100 ft lbs of tq just from an ecu?? are the ecu programming on our cars really that restricted??

 

yes, thats what raising the boost will do for the K03. But that peak tq comes on very early and after that it falls like a 1000 lbs rock.
My custom tuned K03 made 250hp and was making the same amount of tq as a APR owned stage 3 on race gas.

 

More boost= more power!

and mike do u have any old k04 or tuned k03 laying around u dont want that i can buy off u for cheap haha.... and when i pick up this audi... if u still have those rims i wa gonna buy off u forever ago ill make the drive down there and buy them for sure now lol...

 

No I dont have any used turbos laying around. If the K03 in the car still works just stick with that, then when you want to upgrade the turbo jump to the Elim or Frankenturbo. No point in going to a K04 since its not going to make all that much more power then the K03 makes.

 

Oh ok.. Now if I went with the apr ecu would I have to get any additional tuning? Or are they set up for basically a direct replacement of the original?

and also u noticed the tail lights as well... now u cant give me crap for having the "ugly" 96 tails... looks like im getting rid of all the crap all at once.. ugly tails, slow 12v, FWD, now all i need is the one piece and get moar low again and now nobody can hassle me anymore haha... except for mike asking me when im gonna get faster lol
