I have a speedtuning. I drove my friends stock 2.8 and while i thought it never really made a difference it does. Again i have an exhuast we both have intakes...But it actually made a huge difference.

 

I was trying to compare the GIAC and Speedtuning powermax and just curious to the numbers.

I looked at speedtuning's site and for their powermax chip, they were claiming a gain of about 20 hp for a B5 2.8

Later, I checked out GIAC's site and they reported only a 6 hp and 6 lb/ft torque gain for said model and engine.

Can anyone verify the validity of either of these claims? A chip is next on my list for performance/fuel econ so any input would help.
