Default Swaps

Ok i am new to this forum and audi's, but not to cars and swaps. I have used the search key and haven't found much on what im looking for. I just pick up a 1998 b5. I picked it up for 100 bucks. No motor or trans. Car is crystal clean. I love this car and don't wanna hear just sell it and buy an s4 cause i paid $100 for it. So i can't really lose. O car also has a clean title.

1) I'm looking to swap from a 2.8l 30v not there, to an 2.7l s4 motor.
How hard and a parts list, or just a redirection to a previous post.

2) It was a stop tip trans car, would like to swap it to the s4 6 speed
Same as above, would like a parts list or a how to would be nice.

Part out the rest and multiply your investment. s4 parts are expensive and S4's are getting cheap (high milage)

We'll i could. But i have it and time and money isn't really an object. I have a lot of auto experience. Plus this car is already on Koni coilovers, Sparco strut braces, and Eibach anti roll bar kit. Plus the car already has a Rally America spec cage.

if money isnt an object then buy an s4 and swap the parts over. you will pretty much be replacing everything anyways. the only thing you will retain is the body and interior, everything else will need to be swapped.

well im open to swaps, but it needs to be backed by a stick. I just pretty much want a bolt up and go. I don't want a stock 2.8l or the tip. But i don't want a lot of cutting welding. I want as close to a drop and go with some wiring.

You make no sense, you had just said time isn't a problem and you got tons of auto experience but now you're saying you want a bolt on engine+tranny configuration along with minor hacking....

then forget it. if you arent willing to do the work, why even ask? you know what engine you can drop into a 2.8 A4 that bolts up with very little work? a 2.8. even goin from a 12 valve to a 30 valve 2.8 requires some modification. useless garbage threads like this make me hate this forum.

No you took what i said wrong. what i mean by bolt and go. I want a solid engine trans combo that isn't gonna fight with the rest of the cars stock/ aftermarket parts. Simple question would the s4 motor and trans bolt into my car? If i have to chop mounts out well I'm up for it. My car already had a 30v in it.
