So? The LS series is also aluminum. The 1.8 and 2.8 are both iron blocks.

Have to understand we are talking about a car with a very tight space for a motor, not some 60's car that can fit 2 V8's.

Sure more displacement is going to have more tq, but who the hell races at 2k rpm? If they do then they shouldn't be racing at all and should be sitting in the stands seeing you drive the car in a way to stay in the power band.

Yeah, but the block is only part of the motor that produces power.

Funny thing is thats what all NA V8 owners say, thats till they get beat by a 4 cylinder turbo car.

Thats Gods rule, turbo lag is there to give V8s a chance

Yeah but when your racing there is no "lag" on a turbo car. Lag happens when you drop below the boost threshold.
