techs i need brake help
well i know i had seized caliper or so i thought, bought a new caliper and pads and rotor, had some time today after work and decided to take things apart, took a while to get the caliper off since it was gripping the rotor in a death hold. but anyways, after all was said and done the pads had lots of life in them but where bruned to a crisp, the rotor whiel having scoring marks still looked and felt from driving unwarped, and after pushing in the piston i had my brother pump the brakes and the piston worked, what do you think, should i still replace the caliper and such or it was just a freak thing, i still dont know why the caliper tightened up on teh rotor. is there any way to tell if a caliper is bad.

RE: techs i need brake help
I would replace the caliper, if your in an area with a lot of snow my guess is some moisture got past the square seal and rusted the back of the piston. It could very well sieze up on you again if not changed.
