well, you may not be crazy about my suggestion, but I have put roughly 10k on my speedtuning chip and it has been flawless....

grats on getting the car movin!

Yeah I'm really considering speedtuning for when the time comes. What was the turn around time for sending/recieving your ecu? They don't advertise it.

either3 or 4 days from Redding to Spencerville, MD and back.... I can't remember exactly....it was pretty quick, but since this is my only vehicle I bought a spare ecu from LKQ for $50 and sent the spare so that there was no down time

Well........... Installed my boost gauge, and I got nothin I suspected this car was performing sub 150hp.. Weak, but what do I expect from an original turbo w/170k? I havent taken the turbo inlet hose off to see if the shaft is siezed, and don't really feel like it either. Strange though because I have no CEL, no dentist drill, no smoke, no nothing except for 0 boost.

Check the rod from the actuator when i got my Audi this rod was broke no cels for low boost on these cars apparently. actuator rods for this year fail the rod was changed in 98 er 99 i believe...or enjoy the 45mpgs you get running this way lol

Hey, did you try clamping the pressure tube goin to the actuator and drivin around the block? That will tell you if the turbo is working and you will overboost.
