Default Test pipe / cat delete options

As far as I can tell ECS is pretty much the only place I find a test pipe for my 1.8T quattro. The ECS one is $150 and I won't pay that for a freakin 2 ft piece of steel pipe. Ebay pipes run 50-60 but I only see b6 ones on there. Anyone know of any other options? Thinking about just taking my cat to a shop and having them make a test pipe.

From what I've read, the B6 pipe is identical, apart from the position of the O2 sensor. $150 actually isn't all that bad for what you're getting, plus if you took your car to a garage you'd pay at least that for cutting, bending, welding, etc.

As much as audi's and ebay don't go together... Who's had experience with the ebay test pipes? It's obviously a pretty simple part and not a lot can go wrong with it, as long as it's not made out of crap steel. Can anyone recommend an ebay seller they've bought one from?

I've heard mixed reviews. Cracked welds, rust, mis-placed O2 sensor bungs, crap like that.
