true, the 12v's gas pedal has never let me down and always throws me into the seatbacks, which also have stood the test of time well.

So does mine, but I don't have a change holder. I think it fell off with the last owner....

Tranny/quattro for sure are very solid.
My seats and dash are holding up nicely.
Never had any trouble with the stereo.
Engine itself is strong.
body has no rust.

Overall, the repairs needed are far outwieghed by the fun factor.
AUDI FTW

my doors trunk and hood still open
all my windows work
my steering wheel makes the car turn
the gas pedal still makes the rpms go up (although car doesnt move due to non-working transmission)
brake pedal still closes the calipers on the rotor (but doesnt stop car also do to non-working transmission)
clutch pedal still moves clutch plate (although clutch plate friction is worn out and wouldnt do anything again due to non-working transmission)

but the best part
i havent had to change my headlight fluid once!!

the paint on these cars never fade, the dash never cracks or even shows age, the seats hold up very well for being leather (2.8 only)

and like everyone knows, the 2.8 motor runs forever. a little tick never hurt anyone, the motor is one of the strongest ive seen, tranny is included in that category.

so in response to my own comment. i was helping a buddy work on his honda civic that he is fixing for his wife to drive, and low and behold, broken dipstick. not only that it was stuck about halfway down the tube. i know its not an audi, but the irony is still there.

3. Body rust
4. Brake line failure
5. Dash board
6. Headliner, including all the pillar trims.
7. Factory wiring
8. Factory zenon headlamps don't really have any problems either.
