[QUOTE=Lebe Frei;935972]i like the look of the is300 but i look at it like this:

toyota < VW

toyota + more expensive parts = lexus

VW + awesomeness (and some expensive parts) = audi

hmmm...

keep the audi[/QUOTE

god dammm there to sexy. ha. specially in silver. i like the darker gray more though

ya i also heard that. thanks

soooooo true. when i first bought my audi i took it in to a local mechanic for a check up and it costs me $1000 2 days after i bought it. since then theres been little things that have cost me a hundred here and a hundred there. its getting old. with the is300 i could get a 2003 rather than my 99 audi and itll reduce all the little problems that your not planning on paying for just because its 4 yrs newer.

idk yet. thanks alot for all the feedback

i believe that darker grey you speak of is called "Ebony?"
almost looks black, but it really isnt.
i have it and would not trade it for an IS300. originally i wanted one tho.

devil's advocate: if you have some $$$ to burn (think of it as what you would have spent on your audis maintenance haha), the I6 in the Lexus is the same (albeit in NA form) as the last-gen Toyota Supra. Now THATS a ballsy project

But I agree, stock Audi > stock IS300 in most respects

i doubt a car would run for 450k but if you say so... i guess if you kept it extremely well maintained but even then i think youd have to rebuild the engine completely before it got to 450

False, you can get it with a 5-speed. At least in the USA.

MT IS300 are RARE. And they suck *****. Donkey *****. Its a weak 2JZ engine for that matter. The whole engine needs rebuilding to handle more than 350whp. The price of an IS makes up for more than what you put in an Audi in parts. They're such a rip off. And they're not as reliable. A guy I know has had to rebuild his tranny 3 times. And he's only got hardcore upgrades like an intake and exhaust. I'd get a newer Audi if you'd really like to upgrade.
