For those who have, or have had HALO headlights...
Hey all, I just got a set of used Halo headlights.
I was going to install them last week, but when I pulled my stock 1-pieces out, I noticed the plugs were different, not a big deal, since I am getting the round plugs for them from the guy I got the lights off of.
And splicing them in is not a problem for me, however my question is this....
I am using Sylvania Silverstars now, and I have Silverstars for the Halos, are they as bright, or brighter than the stock lighting assemblies?
If not, I DO NOT want to screw up my factory harness....I love the way the housings look, but in my book, brightness > looks......any help is greatly appreciated.
Pics would be even better.....

Alright, here is what I should have done in the first place....
The housing IN the car now, is the HALO, the one in my hand is my factory projector housing...
the only differneces are; factory housing is projector on low beams only, halo is projector on both
halo is H1 bulb, factory is H7, halo is clear corners
both lights have Sylvana Silverstars in them, so thats not a factor
SO, to rephrase the question,
Will there be better directed/more light on the road?
Will i be able to see better after dark? ( I live in the country, so I can use my high beams often)
I already know the halos look better, but as I said, I don't want to butcher a perfectly good factory headlight harness to put in cool looking lights, that don't help with visibility

if I go with the Halos, at some point this year, I will pop off the lenses and spray the silver parts to look like the black halos....not the lenses, or the reflactors...the rest of the silver stuff....
i think the black ones look better on a dark car.....
unless somebody has some black ones they want to trade for these all silvers?
and on another note...does anybody know the part number for the corner bulbs in these things....i want to get one of those silver until its turned on, then it glows orange bulbs...but i cant find the part number.....

the "halo" part of your new lights will do absolutely nothing in the way of adding light or making anything shine brighter whatsoever. the halo lights you show don't have projector for the high beams, only the low, like yours now.

i wasnt even going to hook up the "halo" part....not a fan of the way they look....
so technically its just a reshaped reflector on the highs, which will basically just give me a different shaped high beam pattern.... wish i could find a pic comparing the beam pattern, against factory.....
and those are the turns for the factory turns...the ones in the halo housings are weird.....not a 3157 bulb.......oh well......no hurry on finding them...i can replace them anytime

The halo headlights have an e-code pattern unlike your factory ones, correct? It looks like ...../***
Also, you could try spraying your turn signal bulbs with silver high heat paint for the "stealth" look.
