ticket?
anyway i got pulled over going 80 in a 65 (bs) but the cop let me go easy with no points. however, he listed my car as a S4 on the ticket instead of an A4, think i could get out of it? Pennsylvania
You can try it but that's not a big enough thing to force the ticket out of court. Not to mention your car is debadged. AND most states have a grace period where officers can issue a citation at a later date. So even if it did get tossed on a simple technicality. He could walk out in the hall rewrite it and reissue you another citation if he really wanted!
the only time they will consider the ticket to be a "fatal error" is if he didnt sign the ticket, theres no time, no location. Also, a ticket is a ticket, so insurance will know and there will be points. Cops always say "no points" just so they can leave the scene without you getting out of the car yelling and screaming.
my brother got pulled over going 95 in a 65 once and he didn't get any points on record and insurance stayed the same. he even went to DMV and they had no record of that ticket ever existing. on the other hand it was like $400 which sucks haha. the cop also wrote down that his car was silver when it really is gold. you can always try taking it to court and hoping that the cop doesn't show up.
ive gotten the same ticket but mine was a 78 in a 65 and they reduced it down to 70 and in nc that's 2 points
