The time has finally come, my friends
Hello, B5 world. I know I've been a bit of a stranger lately. My apologies, been a busy cat as of late. I just wanted to stop in here real quick to thank all of you for all assistance and advice over the last four years as I've learned the ways of the four rings via my B5. As the thread title states though, the time has now come for me to shy away from this particular section of the forums. No no, I'm not leaving the B5 scene permanently, but as of today, I am now the ultra-proud owner of not only the B5, but also a shiny B7 2.0t
Therefore, I will hitherto be spending more time in the B7 section, but will still be checking in here now and again, mainly to lurk, occasionally to feel out opinions, and share progress with what is now to become my B5 project. The B7 is destined to be the toy, while the B5 is going to get a major makeover through the next years to end up as a classy show car; seeing as B5 show cars are becoming steadily rarer by the day it seems. So thank you all once again, for all the help past present and future, and until I start rolling out the B5 upgrades I say to you all: AUF WIEDERSEHEN!
I'll be back to this here thread soon with good pics of the B7; if you're just DYING to see it now, theres a couple crapshots in my user profile garage you can eyeball for now

Hello again
As promised in my first post, here are the pictures from the first photoshoot with the new Audi. This is how she sits as purchased, but don't expect her to stay like this long; I'm going form over function with this one. Going to do the majority of the cosmetic upgrades first; tint, bulb upgrades, grill upgrade etc so I'll check back in periodically with pictures of that too
The color is deep sea pearl blue metallic; you'll notice that the blue really pops in some of these shots, and in others the whole car looks black. I love this duality, personally; at first I was really on the fence about the color, but its really grown on me and I love it more and more every day.
Rear rings (macro focus on the rings):

Front rings (when the grille upgrade comes, the bracket will be for a Euro plate):

My buddy made the cruise with me in his Z4:

Factory installed bi-xenons w/auto-levelling and road tracking feature:

Taking in the mountain sights:

I know, there's wheel gap; it will be assessed shortly:

A prime example of how the paint looks black from certain angles:

I think this might be my next sig-pic... lol:

Or maybe this one? Hmm... :

I was going for sort of a "Stig" stance. Naturally, I failed haha:

Another shot of both cars, this one offering a better view of the surrounding scenery. Believe it or not, we're only about 14 miles out of the city where these were taken:

Blasted power lines/poles totally bork this one; photochop? hehe:

Probably my most favorite shot of the set. I think this shot will be the one I replicate for the various stages of cosmetic goodies:

And thats all for now! I'm hoping to have the tint, reverse lights, DRLs, side reflectors (little amber strip on the bumper), and mayyyyybe the grille all upgraded to what I want by my birthday in July, as well as some of the progress with the B5, so I'll try to keep this thread and a new "project B5" thread updated as progress goes
I can pretty well guarantee that the lights will be done within a week, two tops depending on how long shipping takes on the replacement LEDs I'm getting for them. Tint will probably come around the 16th or 17th (gotta get the next paycheck on the 15th first haha) and the reflector strips and grille will be done at the same time since I'll be ordering both from ECS and the strips are only 10 bucks so I don't want to pay shipping on those when I can bundle them with the grille that has free shipping being an order over $100 haha
Cheers all!
