Talking timing belt job

i have 95k and the timing belt has never been done.
took it in the other and got quoted $1200 from audi dealer and $900 from some foreign shop.
today i took it in to a family friends shop and got quoted $434! that includes parts and labor. there also doing the water pump. etc.
since i couldnt do the job myself that seems like a good price. just dropped the car off

What?! That is the price of the water pump and the cheap belt kit alone. No way they are replacing the tensioners, other 3 belts, idler, cam seals... Which REALLY should be done at the same time. My guess is that they are replacing just the timing belt and the front of the water
pump.

I just bought my complete timing belt kit with free shipping for $270. Comes with all new belts, timing, accessory, and power steering belt, HD water pump with gasket and 10 new bolts, washers, 3 litres of coolant, tensioner and pully, a couple other things that i cant remember at the moment. Ive got to throw that in this weekend. We'll see what kind of trouble i get myself into... Lol.

Hmm...Looks like that will work for a couple months. Dude look how cheap the pulley is and that is only the front of the water pump and they are saying it is a HD waterpump?
