I used that tutorial when i did mine 3 years ago. You def don't need any special tools other than a set of torx and allen (hex)bits for your ratchet. The crank and cam sprockets are pretty solid with the belt off, you shouldnt have to worry about them moving unless you are wreckless.

 

And some patience... DO NOT RUSH THIS JOB!!!! HAHA

I think only AWM (2001) require a special tensioning tool..

 

Why do you think that?

 

^There is a VIN split in 2001. The later versions have the B6 style that requires a tensioning tool to hold the pulley while tightening the fastener
