Unhappy tiptronic tranny opinions and help

Sup guys im new to the forums just recently bought an a4b5 quattro with 280k been putting suspension parts and new brakes and bearings but i wanna start tuning soon and i dont wanna break this tranny i tried sport mode but im afraid for launch control im thinking of buying a new one but scared that i might make the wrong decission since im new in this field. Id like to hear some experienced opinions.

might as well try it and (probably not) break it before you go buying another one..

Tip tranny is only rated for 3-400hp. Level Ten Performance sells rebuild kits that'll make it handle just about anything. I think you'll have to give up Tip and go straight auto though.

might be on borrowed time anyway.

My opinion is that airguard is on the right track. Or you can look into to the manual conversion. In the meantime...

Yeah. meloman on this forum just recently did the conversion.

Just do the 5 speed swap and save yourself the headache. Look up my thread I performed the 5 speed swap and helped Meloman through his.

Thanks for the feedback should i get the 5 speed manual used online or locally through ads? And do you have the extra part list ill need for the coversion?

You can do either. Just make sure you can get something with a warranty. Look up my thread I have a parts list and walk through on there. If you need help pm me and ill send you my #.

ill make sure to pm you since im using a mobile phone as my pc at the moment. If theres anyway you can send me a link to a site that sells em im having trouble finding a good one for cheap. Appreciate all the help guys.

Well a cheap tranny generally infers it might be a bad tranny. When it comes to Audis the "you get what you pay for" rule is totally true.
