Default Torn between which of these three to get

I'm currently torn between whether i should chip my car, get an exhaust, or lower it. I want to go with the chip because i saw a REVO chip for 349 which is a great price but im afraid that would put wear on my engine(correct me if im wrong im a noob). I also liked the idea of lowering my car but coil-overs are crazy expensive so i checked out this kit (Good? Bad?)http://www.mjmautohaus.com/catalog/p...oducts_id=2581. As for an exhaust i found a Techtonics cat-back for 650$ (Do they sound good?). Sorry for all the questions the all seemed like good upgrades i just don't know which one is the best. Thanks.

CHIP IT! Greatest first mod you could do, but you would need to get a new diverter valve unless yours is already upgraded. I went with the GIAC chip cause of their rep but you could go revo, unitronic, GIAC, or APR. But its the most bang for your buck IMO

Chip it first. As far as engine wear goes, no one has had engine or transmission problems and blamed it on a chip. There are people that do way more with a chip with stock internals on their engine with no problems for miles and miles. It will obviously put a little more wear on the car especially with the turbo, but you really dont have to worry. Many people chip there cars with 150k+ miles easy and many have gotten bigger turbos with more than that.

Agree with the chip, but you should get all 3 lol! Find a dealer closest to you and get that software. Techtonics does sound great and that spring/shock combo is also a commonly used setup.

If you do a chip I'd recommend a DV as Baby kito said and also a boost gauge. They're very helpful and will help ensure you are getting everything from your chip and they can help in diagnosing certain issues with in your engine. All three options you listed are good starts to curing the mod bug bite.

Gotta go with the chip, DV and boost gauge combo. If you can't do all that then just the chip.

BTW, look at K-maxx coilovers. They are going for about $550 and are a good product. But yeah, chip, DV, and boost gauge.
