Transmission Data
I installed a used transmission (Code: CJP) that is suppose to be originally in my car (1996 A4 B5 AFC 2.8 quattro auto), but the car had a DRN trans in. ECM is 8D0 906 266 B
Error Code (VAGcom 00652 Gear Monitoring: Implausible Signal 27-10 - Intermittent) :
P0732
P0733
P0734
P0735
Gear 5 Incorrect Ratio
Could be a lot of things, but a likely possibility is that the transmission control module TCM (installed is a 8D0 927 156 J according to VAGcom).
I would like to get all available details on the CJP and DRN transmissions, including:
- gear ratios
- TCM version used with them
- any software versions that may play into it
Since the current "J" TCM has been working with the installed ECU/ECM (I switched the ECM out last week as part of other troubleshooting to elimate "bad ECM" as potential reason, but installed the 'old' ECM back in), I don't think the TCM-ECM pair is causing problems. Unless the TCM and ECM have to be 'remarried' again (after disconnecting power and/or switching ECM out).
This is trans that WAS installed (apparently, changed by previous owner, since DRN is NOT a 1996 trans):
This is the trans that I installed (donor car 1997 A4 2.8 quattro auto), code CJP:
Here is what I have so far. Please add any information regarding CJP and DRN transmissions, and TCMs:

Tranmission Valve Body
Some more information regarding the valve body in the transmissions.
There are no real labels on the valve body. Apparently, it goes by the Model No of the trans.
The DRN trans my car came with (NOT supposed to be in a 1996 A4 2.8 Quattro auto):
1060-040-012
The CJP (correct code for my car) I bought out of a 1997 has:
1060-040-002
According to the helpful guys at HT POWERTRAIN (ebay auctions), the valve bodies of trans with the following last 3 digits can be interchanged:
002, 012, 013, 018, 036
In other words (example), the valve body of my DRN (012) can be swapped into my CJP (002).
