Its not hard, I did it on my 98.5

There are little white clips that run down the bottom outside edge of the door. I believe they hang on little rivets. Anyway, you just slide the new trim along these clips. Open the door and feed it down from the edge of the door toward the hinge of the door. The trim is secured by one screw that is screwed in from the inside of the door, up near the door hinge, through the door, and into the trim piece. So once the trim seems to be in about the right place, duck down into the door well and stick your head all the way up by the hinge and you should see where the screw is. Adjust the trim until you can see the threaded insert in the trim and then fasten the trim in place with the screw. Hope this helps.

i just did this, and had that same exact problem........ i ended up taking a hand saw and cutting that piece(brass bit) off....... the new molding(blade) is so tight that you don't need it

I had to drill the screws out of mine to replace them. What brilliant fella in Ingolstadt thought it would be a good idea to use a steel bolt to screw into a brass fixture???[:@]

Yea, the screw that is up in the lower front of the door on the inside. My question about drilling it out would be, won't the drill bit just spin the screw?
