I've been trying to find a part number for the plastic tee nuts that hold the trunk liner on the studs that are part of the taillight assemblies on a 99.5 A4. Even the dealership parts guys are stumped!
After a few removals, the threads inside these get stripped and the trunk liner doesn't stay put. I've tried using hot glue to make new threads but it just melts in the trunk. Restoring the threads by heating up a properly sized bolt and pressing the plastic tee nut onto it didn't work either.
A couple of photos of the nuts are attached. It would be great if someone could provide a part number or a source for these.
