Hey guys.
I am thinking about upgrading the turbo on my 97 1.8TQ and was wondering how do people tune for turbos other than the eliminators and K04. I know Giac has a chip option for the K04 but if I get a T3/T4 with a T3 manifold and all supporting mods, how do I tune it? A local shop is a dealer for Giac but can they program the chip for that turbo using a dyno or do I have to go completely aftermarket with the engine management?

if there is no already written tune, you just buy one as close as possible to the output of the turbo and tweak it on a dyno. engine management isnt normally necessary even for big turbos.
