Default turbo 2.8 12 valve a4 b5

I am considering making this happen or doing the 2.7 tt swap I may be in the wrong thread. (I am new) if I am redirect me please. Please don't come on here and say buy an s4 I actually have mechanical ability and funds so with that being said I am not a dumba$$ or a pu$$y and I will do the turbo kit or the swap. Oh yeah and I am actually a real car enthusiast I don't pay people to do my work. ( like everyone else).

Option 1: buy an s4
option 2: spend three times as much attempting to fit a turbo in an inferior car
Option 3: buy a 1.8
Option 4: leaving your twelve valve as is (this is by far the most popular option. Guys go slow and low)
Option 5: become a drug kingpin and get in tight with the Mexican cartels. Work your way up for a couple years and become an overboss. Fly to Switzerland to avoid federales and fall in love with a displaced Albanian. Run off to the Ukraine and buy and abandoned farm where you discover a rusted out Ford pinto and decide to put a turbo in it (still a better idea than putting one in a twelve valve)
That's pretty much it.

Lol I love option 5 very detailed. But if I can get my hands on a r titled running s4 for 1200 why not go that route and swap everything I mean everything cluster wiring all of it and for 1200 I basically have a s4.

s4's are not that expensive. why dont you just save yourself tons of money and even more time and buy one. an even better option than this is to do a 4.2L swap. will bolt right up to the transmission ( in the 30 valve atleast, not positive about the 12 valve tranny) and you will have a V8 in your A4!!

While I'm not mechanically inclined enough to know what a 12v to 2.7TT swap consists of, a similar thread came up not too long ago:https://www.audiforums.com/forum/b5-...-build-154208/ (Actually this was a year ago; not sure what happened with it)

A 12v turbo build would require a lot of man hours and get very expensive in a short amount of time. Someone else can chime in with the logistics and the stats of the attempted 12v turbo builds that were abandoned.

If I were mechanically inclined, had the time and the parts, I'd do the 2.7TT swap

Ok let's make this a little clearer r titled s4 1200 my current cost of my car 1500. That makes a drivable clone s4 for 2700 plus if I build the engine and do the turbos during the swap everything will be done. Plus I get the fun of doing the swap. Yet again I am a true car guy I enjoy the challenge. Oh and find me a s4 in great shape under 8 grand and I will gladly buy it.

You need everything in between the front bumper an d front seats lol. Plus all drivetrain components so the gearing is the same. I am doing the cluster all wiring literally everything but I am lucky I found a wrecked s4 so its is a simple swap

Power is up to you as long as u feel like spending the cash to build the engine. Fyi buy urself a good torque wrench. I am building my own engine I want around 450 to 500I at the wheels
