Default Turbo detonation story - turbo upgrade options?

So my eBay cough cough k04 lasted 7 months at $250 on 24 psi. My car just crapped out while boosting and I went home. Thought I blew an IC pipe. Check the compressor side of the housing. **** Is scarred up and turbine is just laying in there.
What should I do? Car is chipped for a K04 but I would like a BIG turbo. What does it take for a larger turbo and where can I get one for a reasonable price or is anyone selling one? And what mods are required for one and would it run okay on a K04 tune?

And don't hate lol. I learned my lesson. But it lasted very long I might add

the upgrade kit is if you're already stage 3 with them, to upgrade to stage 3+. stage 3+ will net you around 350hp on a garrett gt2871r i believe. i have the same clutch as you, and if you go stage 3 youll need to replace it with something more exspensive. since you already have a front mount, thatll save you money. it all depends how big of a turbo you want

the next size up is a garrett 25r http://www.034motorsport.com/turboch...25r-p-701.html
it says 240 hp, but i can see you pulling 280 out of it if you get some injectors and up the boost

Now when it comes to the hooking up of the IC, intake pipe, manifold, cat delete, coolant, and oil lines. Does this all match up or come with components for it? I'm just used to direct bolt on. =\

no, youll need to find out exactly what size fittings that particular turbo needs. USUALLY for garretts its 4an oil inlet, 10an oil drain, and 6 an for coolant in and out. youll need a new manifold, and downpipe for anything other than a ko3 or ko4
