Default Turbo Help.....

Hello I Am New To The Audi World... I Got My '98 Audi A4 1.8t Last Week And So Far I Absolutely Love It! Only One Problem... My First Purchase Was The Forge BOV/DV Splitter.. Installed It And Turned It Every Way Imaginable.. After Installation I Didnt Get The Slightest Whistle Or Pssh Out Of My Turbo.. Well I Believe Something Is Wrong With My Turbo.. I Do Not Believe I Am Getting Any Kind Of Boost What So Ever.. My Wife Has A 4cyl Eclipse That Feels Like It Would Smoke My Audi. I Do Know That The Car Sat For A While Before I Purchased It.. Is There Anyway The Turbo Could Have Just Went Out?

(at the bottom)

#2 you can get a boost gauge and just see what kind of boost your getting if you believe their is something wrong. You may want to do a boost leak test and make sure your not loosing it out somewhere else!

Splitters and BOV- avoid them. The arguement will continue forever, but why bother? If the car was running fine before the install, and now it's not, what do you think is the problem?

Besides, it's an Audi, not a Mitsu or honda. Do you really want it to make the pppffffssssshhhhht sound anyway? Think about it.

Welcome to the forums!

That's the problem, it wasn't workin before and I was told it was the diverter valve. So I went ahead and replaced it with the Forge, but that made no difference. How do I do a boost leak test?
