My turn signals started acting up on my way home from work this evening. I found your video and just did this in my driveway in less than thirty minutes. It worked like a champ. You just saved me forty bucks! Thanks.

Thanks for the video. I tried to clean it but it didn't work. I sprayed it with "electronic cleaner", but that didn't work either. So I ended up buying the part at the dealer for $45. ECS Tuning cost the same.

I have a 99 A4 (prior to 99.5), and my hazard switch isn't the same. I opened it up, and the internals were completely different. Couldn't figure out how to fix it, and just dropped $75 for a new one from ECS Tuning.

You guys with the $45 switch should consider yourselves lucky.

Thank you! It was also entertaining watching the relay work when I tested it. Unlike me, reassemble after you make sure it's working, it took 3 scratchings for mine to work and not stick.

honestly, this is merely a temporary fix. my flashers went back out after about 6 months of working well. the points may be coated like in many distributors where filing doesn't work or only works with certain humidity/temperature levels. i noticed i have had more trouble in the winter than the summer because the air is so dry and cold.

Yeah same thing happened to me. I fixed it about 8 months ago and it stopped working again a few days ago. Decided to buy the replacement part this time around. Any ideas where i can find them for the cheapest? I found one on ECS tuning and parts geek for $59. Which ones would you suggest?

The most common part number for that switch/relay, for an 01 a4 for example, 8D0-941-509-H-01C is 37.05 plus 5.50 USPS priority mail shipping in the USA. In stock also. Always in stock as you guys probably would guess. Ours are the genuine Audi part also. Any questions please ask, thank you, Jeff.

I looked up the part as you mentioned and from the diagram it looks like the hazard switch from the newer models.
the part i am looking for looks like this... Audi B5 A4 Quattro V6 12v Search SiteSearch Hazard ES#258927 Hazard Switch - Satin Black - 8D0941509H01C

whereas from the diagram from your page it looks like it might be a different part
2001 Audi A4 Parts - AudiUSAParts.com
If you infact have the same part, I would very much like to get one

The p/n 8D0941509H01C fits 98-01 cars, and also late into 2001 almost considered 2002. If you have an 01 a4 that's the part number you'd need. The diagrams on our audiusaparts website are not the same diagrams we use in Etka. Even in Etka the diagrams don't always represent the exact part in the box. You can always call us up if you have questions. We can describe the switch to you over the phone if something doesn't feel right.
