well we put the front control arm kit on ... it realy needed it as the ball joint was actualy comming out of its spot when we removed one of the lower control arms. took for drive and it had no power. so i decided to remove the hose from the intake and i saw some oil coating the inside of the hose and intake. took the hose compleatly off found some oil coating inside the intercooler. ok. took the lower hose off the intercooler and about a half a quart of oil drains out WTF im sayin. jacked up the dirvers side so the oil would drain out and took the hose from the otherside off and about another half a quart comes out from that side.so we pull the hose off the turbo ... seized and leakin oil into the intake. we removed the old turbo and disasembled found some forin part that was part of the turbo came apart and destroed the exaust side of the turbo seizing it. so now im waiting on a turbo to arrive via the mail.
im sorry i had to say somtihng about the weekend ive had now. so far in this weekend ive grown to hate audi's because there too dam hard to work on.such a small space to work in all sorts of hidded bolts allen head bolts that strip when u try to remove them. such a pain in the rear.

stock replacement. its not my car i just regretably offered to work on it for a freind of mine. he just bought it for 2900 spent another 210 on the control arms and just found out the turbo is seized. found a bran new stock replacement for 250 bucks.
if there is foreign object damage to the exhaust side of the turbo, that object had to come from or pass thru the engine. i would be looking into that object and any other damage it caused first, and replacing the turbo second.
Where? Hopefully not Ebay or any other site selling Chinese clones.
we beleive it was part of the wastegate
was ebay but thats what he wanted i showed him i tihnk 6 different ones in attempt to get a better one for it. the ebay one wont work?
the wastegate is after the turbine. they do occasionally break but you just find a chunk of metal rattling around in the cat. it would be hard for it to jump up the exhaust stream, though i guess it isnt impossible.
