Question unisettings?

im planning on doing the diode mod on my car next week and i want to tweak what i can by using unisettings (which is a free download from unitronics?) my question is can i just buy a vag cable from ebay and plug it in and start tunning? or do i have to purchase other stuff like vag-com, or a licence for the cable etc.? any help would be appreciated.

That is exactly the same thing as Lemmiwinks and only works on the 2000+ A4 1.8t.
Also it just allows you to adjust the "value" in the ecu which moves the map up/down across the board.

mike - i have an 01. so since adjusting it is only affecting the map value across the whole range, it would still run better (safer) than stock right?

turbo kraut - you got pm

Must do logs before and after making any changes. Last thing you want to do is add too much timing and end up with a rod sticking out the side of the block.
