Hey guys i have a question for a 2000 a4 quattro 1.8l ATW engine. I found a hose thats not connected to anything and im wondering where it should be connected...its the smaller lower hose in the pictures. Please advise.

 

It looks like your diver valve hose. If it's long and goes all the way down to the bottom right side of the engine, check and see if it's connected to the diverter valve. If it is, then it needs to be connected to either a port, or a check valve on or around the intake manifold (I can't remember - and I have an AWM anyway).

Here are the AMB and AWM diagrams. Maybe they can help.

That almost seems like the coolant return hose to the turbo.

From looking at ur diagram it looked like it should go to the N249 valve under the manifold and when i looked close enough i found that there was a nipple on the N249 with no hose on it...good looking out. Thanks guys
