Competely normal since that really doesn't change unless you put on taller tires. That arm connects to the hub, as you push the hub up when lowring the car that arm also goes up. It really just limits how tall, how wide the tires can be and how much offset you can go with on rims to tuck the wheels.

Thanks for the info! This is the 1st car i've ever lowered so i'm learning! I'm more of a body guy! Off to pick it up ttyl!

so jealous dude....eagerly awaiting pics!!!!!! I just got my car back today from the paint shop......I hate having others work on the car!!!! Paint is beyond my realm of expertise.

The rear arm distance seems aight. Thats about where my non sport sits.
I'm hoping to get low soon, and then throw on the BBS CH's. 18x8.5 et35, whaddya think mike, am I gonna be alright?

You should be fine, just make sure you put on a tire that is not taller then 25". I have seen B5's with 255 17's on and they fit.

tall = wide? or tall = overall diameter? Regardless I plan on going 225/40

that's a high offset, I'm pretty sure you'll need spacers.. what are the wheels?

They are off of an A3

that's what I thought. I'm pretty sure a3 wheels need spacers to fit on b5's... even if they would fit without spacers they may look odd for being so far in. pullacowaski or whatever his name is has a3 wheels on his silver b5, you should check with him
