upgraded turbo wont hold boost

cincyTT was on the money with this problem over the weekend made a boost leak tester and forund three leaks fixed them and still not running a 100 percent now the boost will go to 20psi then drop down to 2psi then the next gears will only go 5psi but when i get on it a lil while later goes right back to 20psi for half a gear feels likke car kicks power off. But no check engine light!?!?! ne ideas!?!!?

that sounds almost like what happened to me when i blew a hose off the Vacuum pump. check around that area, by the back of the intake manifold and make sure all the hoses are connected and are on tight.

you know what i thoght when i was boost leak testing it i head a hissing sound from there

Take apart your dv, clean and grease it, and then add a couple washers since it may not be sealing everytime

the xo2 bov didnt come with washers can i still jus add washers to the bottom of the spring?

Scan for faults. Under/over boost faults don't trigger a CEL. Could be the wastegate flapper is lose and is randomly binding/not closing fully giving an internal boost leak.

Just checked all the hoses arount the intake manifold all where on tight. if it was the wastegate how do i go about fixing it?

if the wastegate line feel off the wastegate would that make the wastegate do anything to break the seal are mess up the diaphram?!?!

You can't inspect the wastegate flapper without taking the turbo out. But if it was newly built I'm sure it was checked. But who knows.
