Ok car wont start, barely starts while being jumped. Battery was checked and was in good shape according to AAP. the other day while driving the radio died while driving and my tach died and the car actually started disengaging and rengaging. I have people telling me different things but dont feel like buying everything for one problem. SOME ONE HELP!!!!!!

Like to my battery? I did and they seemed fine. Im going for an alternator check tomorrow in hope that it is my alternator since its not very exspensive but any other ideas?

 

Maybe your ignition switch, has it been replaced on the recall ? Try playing around with your key see if anything changed, and +1 on the grounds if that doesn't work.

 

I didnt know their was recall on the ignition switch?

 

yea i dont know for all the years, but as for mine (1997) it was a recall and audi replaced mine.

my second question, is when the key is in the aux positioin, do you see the check engine light?
