if u get an ebay cord u need 409.1

if u get a real vag-com it comes with the cable and software.

Hi pullacownaski, I got my cable from a seller named alpha-bid on ebay. To me, it's a good quality cable for less than $20.00. If you don't like ebay you can head on to his website http://www.alpha-bid.com/vagusb.html but I feel you're more protected when you buy through ebay. The cable came USPS Priority. Here is the link to download the software and instructions: http://www.alpha-bid.com/media/Produ...structions.pdf.

Go with VAG-COM's cable. It hurts to pay $250 for a cable and software, but it opens up more possibilities.
